You may have heard about children and young people creating TikTok videos to mock, bully or harass teachers.
A minority of this material has been more severe, with some instances of hate crime, and allegations of child sexual abuse towards school staff.
If you come across any videos making allegations of sexual abuse, you must be sure to follow your settings safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
The Professional Online Safety Helpline (POSH) have shared guidance for teachers and schools, asking them to report incidents to POSH. They are sharing this information with TikTok to try and remove distressing content.
Please do not report any videos to CEOP unless you are concerned about online child sexual abuse.
